About This Role:

Best Practice Associates, LLC dba Federal Advisory Partners (F|A|P) of Tria Federal (Tria)  is seeking  a Director of Program Control.  Reporting to the VP Corporate Controller, The Director of Program Control will have Profit & Loss responsibility for both Operating Groups with annual revenues of ~$300M.  Responsibility includes developing/supporting the financial and strategic plans of Business for each Operating Group to ensure the business is maximizing value creation. 

The candidate will lead a team of 5+ finance professionals supporting contracts located throughout the U.S.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and management to the Project Control personnel of the Operating Groups including ensuring staff is adequately trained; coordinating workloads, priorities, and schedules to ensure timely and effective completion of work; and monitoring and evaluating staff performance and taking corrective action as necessary.
• Support strategic planning for the Operating Groups to include The Annual Operating Plan, indirect cost management and management of discretionary investments.
• Coordinate key activities across multiple functions to provide a broad range of financial and operational services at the Operating Group level to include support strategic business planning initiatives, financial operations and performance monitoring.
• Appraise and evaluate business performance across the Operating Groups.  Develop the monthly/quarterly financial performance forecasts to include revenue, gross margin, cash, DSO and AR.
• Identify and quantify any potential Risks and Opportunities not in the forecast.
• Develops and analyzes all Estimates at Completion (EAC), ensures revenue recognition in accordance with U.S. GAAP
• Lead the Project Control personnel to ensure all activities compliant with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Represent the Operating Group in its relationship with customers, employees, audit agencies, subcontractors, Government agencies, and professional organizations. Support Headquarters liaison with Defense Contract Audit and Management Agencies.
• Support proposal development, pricing strategy and reviews. Prepare pricing for contract growth opportunities.
• Partnership with the Contracts and Operations Leads to implement Risk Mitigation strategies
• Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

The “Need-to-Have” Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in business operations, financial management and cost accounting and knowledge of GAAP, FAR and DFAR.
• Strong written and oral communications skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency with software applications.

Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance/Accounting or related field and a minimum of 15 years of job-related experience or Master’s degree with 13+ years of relevant experience

Minimum Background Check 

8+ years of progressive management experience in a related area.
