Job Overview
At HUB International, the CMDB Administrator is responsible for the overall administration, configuration, and maintenance of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) within the ServiceNow platform. Your role will ensure the accuracy and reliability of the CMDB as well as perform regular audits to ensure the completeness of the CMDB data.
This position will work closely with our Service Owners, Infrastructure Team Leaders, Asset Management, IT Service Management, ServiceNow Platform and Technology Business Management teams and provide the necessary support to be a successful and cohesive group.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, computer science, statistics, mathematics or related field from an accredited college or university
Minimum 3 years of relevant CMDB experience is preferred
Familiarity with Automated Discovery tools is preferred
Experience maintaining a Configuration Management DataBase (CMDB) is preferred
Experience in administering and configuring the ServiceNow CMDB is preferred
Knowledge ITIL practices and processes (Configuration Management)
Ability to work independently
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach to data analysis and reconciliation
Primary Responsibilities and Activities
Responsible for the overall administration, configuration, maintenance, design and improvement of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) within the ServiceNow platform
Administer and maintain the ServiceNow CMDB, including its configuration, data integrity, and ongoing synchronization with other IT systems and data sources
Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement best practices, processes, policies and guidelines for configuration management
Plan and lead project efforts to design and collect new data elements or redesign or refresh existing data elements.
Work with other TechOps teams to ensure proper integration and alignment of CMDB data with TechOps processes such as incident, problem, and change management
Perform regular audits and reconciliation activities to ensure the accuracy and completeness of CMDB data
Identify, troubleshoot and resolve any data inconsistencies or discrepancies within the CMDB data
Proactively search for improvement opportunities to improve the accuracy and integrity of the CMDB inventory
Develop and maintain CMDB documentation regarding policies, standards and procedures
Assist in developing, modifying, and configuring reports, dashboards, and outputs associated with the change, configuration, discovery and mapping functions
In addition, this CMDB Administrator will be an independent thinker who can make convincing, data-based arguments. The selected candidate will be able to work across strategy, product, operations and technology teams while demonstrating a strong bias for action. The candidate MUST HAVE:

Although hybrid to a local HUB office is desirable, this position is open to remote candidates.

Disclosure required under applicable municipal regulations in NY and NJ, as well as the law in Colorado: The expected salary range for this position is $110,000 to $135,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate's skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position's business line, scope and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include health/dental/vision/life/disability insurance, FSA, HSA and 401(k) accounts, paid-time-off benefits, and eligible bonuses, equity and commissions for some positions.
