Job description

St. Ambrose University invites applications for the role of Communications & Marketing Specialist in the Office of Communications and Marketing. The Communications & Marketing Specialist is a critical member of our content strategy team, led by our Communications Manager, and is responsible for originating, developing and creating a wide variety of institutional content aligned with core strategies and priorities. Responsibilities include writing for storytelling, marketing and creative writing for various social media and digital platforms, managing website content and internal communications support, and project management. Most of all, this person must maintain our brand's integrity and develop content that meets the university's strategic objectives. Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related area. A minimum of 2 years of experience in professional writing and storytelling with a focus on marketing and communications, preferred. Must be proficient in writing and all applicable guidelines, including AP style. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Have excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong organizational, multitasking skills and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
