Job description

Kessler Baking Studio is an awarding-winning scratch bakery located just North of the Bishop Arts District in Dallas, Texas. We’re currently hiring an experienced baker to join our fun and passionate team. Kessler Baking Studio is a creative studio that produces cookies, blondies, brownies, cupcakes, shortbreads, breakfast pastries, breads and specialty cakes using the finest selected ingredients. As a black-owned micro-bakery, our owner is community and justice oriented, and consider our small team to be a family. We are located at 1129 North Beckley Avenue. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter that enjoys working with others and brings positive energy to our environment.

Responsibilities

• Weigh and measure ingredients with accuracy
• Follow recipes and prepare baked goods
• Production of doughs, batters, and frostings from scratch
• Baking of all pastries, cookies, cakes, breads, and more
• Mix, wash, peel, chop, grind, strain, slice
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing tasks effectively and quickly
• Close attention to detail and consistency
• Must adhere to sanitation, safety, and food regulations
• Various cleaning tasks and side work
• Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation

Qualifications

• Food Handler Certification
• Capable of multitasking
• Able to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to work as part of a team
• At least 1 - 2 years of previous experience as a baker

Current Position Standards/Requirements

• Work Days: Wednesday through Sunday
• Typical Hours: 8AM - 2PM
• Salary: $12 - $16 (determined by experience)
