Instructional Designer
Rate: $70 to $85 /hr
Effective Date: Immediate
Experience Level: 5+ years
Desired Work Location: Hybrid (Primarily remote; travel up to once per month)
Contract to Hire: No
Anticipated Duration: 12/31/2023 with strong possibility for extension through 12/31/2024
Anticipated Hours per Week: 40 hrs
Job Summary :
Expert in instructional design strategy, curriculum planning and course content design. Responsible for working with various project work streams (Functional, Technical, Business) to assess training needs and design and develop training materials based on instructional strategy/theory and best practices for a variety of delivery methods (instructor-led and web-based training).
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and develop instructional materials (instructor led training, e-learning, computer-based training, job aids, user procedures).
- Create infographics to support the communications lead to drive user adoption.
- Plan and create learning assessments to support defined learning objectives.
- Conduct "train the trainer" sessions to empower others to successfully deliver, measure and evaluate a training session
- Facilitate / support instructor led training as needed
- Demonstrates and utilizes effective learning needs analysis, project management, course development, and evaluation skills.
- Able to utilize multimedia technology and authoring tools.
- Works effectively and cooperatively with all stakeholders to determine goal of course material and appropriate method of delivery.
Preferred Education / Experience :
- Preferred - Experience with Manufacturing Organizations / Front Line Employees with Limited Digital Acumen
- Experience with Agile delivery methodology
- Experience with Large System Implementations (SAP, SAP MES, Salesforce, TeamCenter, OpsCenter, Etc)
- Preferred - Experience with blended learning
- Preferred - Experience with Captivate / Camtasia and related software for the purpose of producing multimedia training packages (examples: Snagit, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, etc.)
