Job description
Position Purpose (Mission):
The Director of People Relations leads our team of People Partners, driving all people-centric initiatives and procedures to reach our organizational objectives. This role involves crafting the comprehensive strategy for delivering services, policies, and programs related to People Operations.
Responsibilities, Duties, Functions, Tasks (Outcomes): - Develop and implement People strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
- Lead the People Ops function with mergers and acquisitions and due diligence requests and assist with new market implementations.
- Lead a team of People Partners, fostering a collaborative and engaging work environment
- Bridge leadership and team member relations by addressing issues · Manage the development and maintenance of the People sections of the company internal resources
- Provide expert advice to team members and leadership to ensure awareness of people policies, promote compliance, and facilitate best practice outcomes and mitigate risk
- Manage and conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations
- Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of our people
- Foster a culture receptive to change by supporting and guiding a work environment that encourages and embraces change
- Communicate the benefits of change and provide support and training as needed to support team members adaptivity and resilience)
- Partner with leadership to analyze people data and trends to develop solutions, programs, and opportunities for growth and development
- Lead change management efforts with an emphasis on gaining commitment and adoption of key people initiatives
- Develop and lead our organizational design and enablement to ensure we have the right resources at the right time and continue to develop our leaders to think strategically about our people
- Provide guidance and input on business unit/function structures, workforce planning, and succession planning
- Develop and guide leaders and People Partners through the role creation/revision process · Work closely with your team and leaders to optimize work relationships, build morale, and increase engagement, retention, and productivity
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within the HRIS, partnering with HR stakeholders to enhance system functionality and streamline HR workflows.
- Ensure the People Relations team maintains a comprehensive system documentation, including user guides, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process workflows.
- Lead the People Ops function with mergers and acquisitions and due diligence requests and assist with new market implementations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements: Education: - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is desired.
Prior Experience: - Minimum 10 years of People Operations experience with at least 6 years of leadership responsibilities
- · Proven working knowledge of multiple people disciplines, including compensation and benefit practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance enablement, extensive knowledge of federal and state HR legal requirements
- Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills · Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and change management skills
- Strategic thinking and planning skills, including the ability to identify metrics, identify (and adjust) priorities, anticipate and mitigate risks, and involve the right stakeholders at the right times
Special Qualifications: - PHR or SHRM-CP; SPHR or SHRM-SCP, preferred
- Proven organization skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional analytical, problem solving and time-management skills
- Demonstrated experience/maturity to handle confidential and sensitive informatio
