About the Role: Our Public client is looking for a Director of Financial Reporting who will be responsible for all areas of the financial reporting process while adhering to GAAP standards. The role requires strong relationship building with executive management, operations, and internal and external customers.

Responsibilities: - Lead the preparation of comprehensive and accurate financial statements for management and board reviews, ensuring adherence to US GAAP and SEC regulations
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting close for areas of functional responsibility
- Implement process improvements to streamline the external financial reporting process and improve information quality.
- Assist in completion of annual audit by providing information and explanations to internal and external auditors.
- Lead process improvements, including leveraging technology tools to improve efficiency of the SEC reporting process.
- Collaborate with the SEC Reporting team, including reviewing quarterly and annual financial reports
- Serve as a subject matter expert on GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, with the ability to research and analyze new and proposed accounting guidance.
- Manage internal processes related to quarter-end and year-end certifications, audit and disclosure committee reviews, and preparation of management reports.
- Identify and implement effective controls, as well as work closely with the team to support an efficient financial reporting process, to support our continued global growth and scale.
- Monitor new accounting pronouncements and accounting policy developments and lead implementation efforts, including required disclosures and education of senior management.
- Develop and document processes and procedures in the accounting and financial reporting function, including leading improvements to processes where warranted.
- Execute all responsibilities in compliance with their SOX 404 internal control framework.
- Perform special projects and identify and analyze specific problem areas, and make recommendations on accounting approaches
- Perform ad-hoc financial reporting as required.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent directly related work experience.
- Public Accounting experience required.
- CPA preferred.
- ERP Experience such as NetSuite, MS Dynamics 365, Sage 300, Acumatica, SAP, Oracle, Workday, MS Business Central, JD Edwards, MS Dynamics GP or Intacct all deemed good.
- Eye for details - attention to quality and accuracy is of paramount importance in this role.
