Job description
We are looking for a talented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This position will be responsible for directing the financial activities of the company and overseeing the preparation of accurate financial and regulatory reports. The successful candidate must have a CPA license and be able to demonstrate strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Position Overview: The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting activities, including preparing financial statements and other reports, reconciling accounts, analyzing variances, and supporting the accounting team in various projects. The Senior Accountant must have a good understanding of GAAP to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
- Manage all aspects of the monthly close including journal entries, reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and other reports as required.
- Analyze and explain financial results to management.
- Assist with the preparation of various tax returns.
- Monitor and improve existing accounting processes and procedures.
- Participate in the implementation of finance-related technologies such as ERP and NetSuite.
- Assist with the implementation of AP automation tools such as Intaact, bill.com, and Tipalti.
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of HRIS/Payroll systems.
Qualifications:
- CPA license required.
- 5+ years of accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Experience with ERP and NetSuite.
- Experience with AP automation tools such as Intaact, bill.com, and Tipalti.
- Experience with HRIS/Payroll systems.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
