This position acts as a liaison with customers by interacting via telephone, email or in person to provide information about products and services, take and enter orders, manage accounts, and obtain details of customer concerns to expedite resolution.
- Provide information, process requests for samples and price quotations to customers utilizing general and on-line commerce methods.
- Collaborate effectively with Production, Sales, Shipping, and other departments to meet customer requirements in a timely fashion.
- Expedite the delivery of late orders and negotiate dates and times with customers.
- Coordinate returns, establish replacement orders and initiate any rework orders.
- Address and document any customer complaints and determine best resolution to resolve issue. Involve Customer Service Manager as needed.
- Develop and maintain working relationships with key customer contacts/ through interactions build an understanding of business issues, future needs, etc.
- Keep detailed records and verify information of existing accounts, make changes as needed to maintain accuracy of data.
- High school diploma or GED required along with 3-5 years experience in customer service roles.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively listen and elicit information from customers is needed.
- Ability to establish positive relationships with new and existing customers while working with high degree of diplomacy.
- Able to multi-task and effectively collaborate with all levels of internal and external customers, vendors and suppliers.
- Ability to assume additional duties in supervisor's absence.
- Experience with ERP Systems or other customer service tools a plus.
- Knowledge of packaging techniques and methods, costs and process of producing product a plus.
