Job Overview
As a Configuration Software Development Manager at Cognition®, you will manage an
Agile software development team to design and configure customer implementations
of the Cognition Cockpit® Platform and its extensions. You will work closely with both
internal software development teams and Application Engineering to review customer
requirements, organize development efforts, and deliver solutions.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Manages a team of software engineers assigned to the Configuration team
• Coordinates with the Engineering team to triage customer issues and plan
customer projects; this includes participating in customer meetings
• Leads requirement technical review and estimation
• Manages stories in the Agile product backlog to meet deadlines
• Leads design and code review activities, implementing best practices
• Implements features/bug fixes as an individual contributor
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in computer science
• 6+ years of professional experience
• Experience with object-oriented languages
• Experience with web development
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Detail-oriented nature
• Good problem analysis skills
Physical Requirements
The ability to set up and participate in events, which may include standing, bending, kneeling, etc. as well as occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 30 pounds.
