Our Cargo team are pivotal in managing Charters ranging from Elephant to Engines, Relief to Rally cars and anything in between. This wide-ranging variety of Cargo Charters means our Brokers have to be both versatile and dynamic.
Job Description
A DAY IN THE LIFE
- Manage domestic transportation bookings from inquiry to completion
- Identify and eliciting new client opportunities
- Provide rate quotes to clients for services
- Conduct presentations in client facing and carrier facing meetings
- Perform client interactions like prospecting, qualifying, cold calling, negotiating and closing deals
- Build wide and effective networks of contacts inside and outside the organisation
- Work productively in a pressurised environment
- Keep up to date with market trends; controls costs and thinks in terms of profit, loss and added value
- Tracking and providing back-up to domestic transportation team
- In-office out of any ACS North America office
Qualifications
WHAT DO WE LOOK FOR
- Previous domestic logistics broker background
- Knowledge of the trucking industry and market
- Ability to provide transportation sales training to brokers
- Enjoys working to goals and objectives in a competitive environment
- High-level customer service skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Strong numeracy skills
