Job description
As a Network Planning Engineer, you will plan, deliver, and manage our network and data center infrastructure. You will work on projects involving hub planning, installations, retrofits, and service migrations. You will coordinate with other network teams and vendors to meet the multi-service requirements of our shareholders and customers.
You will also use fixed wireless and fiber optic technologies to provide high-speed internet and data services to support our core infrastructure and client locations. You will design and implement the best network solution for each project, considering the coverage area, the demand, the users, the services, the budget, and the time frame.
In addition, you will enhance our network's coverage area by increasing the number of homes and businesses that can access our network and improve our network's visibility over obstacles and terrain. You will use tools to optimize the design of our network to achieve the best line of sight and optimal signal strength. You will use smart techniques to address the challenges of planning and optimizing our network, and to make it faster and more reliable.
You will work closely with other teams to support the network operations and engineering processes. You will help the sales team to prepare proposals and bids for network projects and work closely with the Network Engineering team to design, test, and troubleshoot network systems and devices. You will support the business operations team to monitor, maintain, and upgrade the network infrastructure and resolve network issues as needed. You will also communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and ensure compliance with network standards and policies.
