Job description

Position Summary:

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Visiting Researcher for the Cancer Institute of New Jersey. The primary purpose of the Visiting Research Scholar position is to work under the direction of the principal investigator. The visiting researcher will work in the field of Cancer Epigenetics within the Cancer Metabolism and Immunology program. The primary objective of the project is to study the function of key epigenetic regulators that are highly mutated in human cancer, including KDM5C in kidney cancer, ARID2 in melanoma, and/or KDM6A in bladder cancer. These studies will be conducted through the utilization of vertebrate animal models and cultured cell lines. 

The visiting researcher will be responsible for designing, conducting, and analyzing results of molecular cloning, gene expression analyses, cell culture work, tumor xenograft and allograft in mice, and genetically engineered mouse models. The research activities will be conducted primarily in a wet lab setting and will involve various molecular methodologies such as qRT- PCR , FACS , IHC , IF, Western Blotting, Cell Culture, and animal handling.
