BAE Systems

Location

Boulder, CO | United States

Job description

US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED

Join the Space Vehicle Systems Engineering, Integration & Test (SEIT) team - a diverse group of motivated problem solvers. We like to have fun and enjoy life - both at work, and in our free time. We're excited about the challenging projects we're involved in and have a strong commitment to the missions we enable. Offering growth opportunities at all levels of skill and experience, we're looking for leaders and innovators who can continue our strong reputation for creativity and technical excellence, while helping to define the future.

Make a difference. Love what you do. Realize your full potential.

We're seeking an action-oriented engineer with intellectual curiosity who is excited to put their potential to use leading and testing space flight hardware. You will be responsible for leading the effort across multiple programs to ensure that our electrical support equipment can operate on the networks and in the environments required to support our programs.

This will require significant coordination between our Information Assurance, Information Technologies, Program Security, Systems Test, Simulators, and Electrical Special Test Equipment teams. This role will be responsible for understanding the requirements of these various groups, and actually getting our electrical systems up and running in the environments where they are needed to test the flight hardware. This will require a strong balance of technical experience, project engineering, and excellent communication skills.

If you enjoy Legos, writing code for your drone, playing with Linux builds, optimizing your potato cannon, hot-rodding your scooter, and have the skills to rebuild the hyperdrive of the Millennium Falcon, then this might be a good position for you.

The Engineering, Science and Analysis (ESA) Strategic Capabilities Unit comprises the technical talent and organizational leadership that enables the successful delivery of high-impact discriminating technologies for our customers’ missions. Our collaborative, cross-functional teams are committed to innovation, integrity, continual learning and strong execution.

What You'll Do: On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.
