Your Role


Mission


Develop, lead, and manage the sales and marketing efforts for new technologies in green applications in accordance with Atlas Copco standards, while always striving to understand the needs and expectations of customers. Prepare related business development reports and conduct/present relevant market analysis. Become an expert in these applications and share the knowledge throughout the organization.

Roles and Responsibilities


Business Development (75%) - Develop the assigned product line business including establishing goals for product sales. Meet or exceed established business goals through intensive prospecting and selling. Deliver sales in H2, gas recovery and biogas supply chains. Control expenses, while maximizing Company assets, time, skills, and profit levels. Establish key partnerships in emerging green industries. Develop and implement a sales and marketing strategy to maximize business results with these customers and markets. Coordinate with the Division to support pursuits. Review business development strategies on a regular basis and recommend modifications and enhancements that will secure sales goals in line with growth targets. Represent the Company at trade shows and conferences, as required. Maintain effective lines of communication with the relevant Business Line Manager, Regional Vice Presidents, regional Direct Sales Representatives, Technical and Service departments.

Reporting (15%) - Prepare monthly reports that show market trends, business development results, competitor activity, sales forecasts, and prospective activity. Prepare forecasts and track orders for Industrial Air products monthly.

Market Analysis (5%) - Continuously pursue knowledge and understanding of economic trends and news that may affect the compressed air business. Report such activity to the Business Line Managers, Regional Vice Presidents, and regional Sales Representatives.

Personal Development (5%) - Through training and development, remain current in the product knowledge and sales/marketing skills necessary to be effective in the position.


Contribute to positive Company branding by projecting a knowledgeable, professional, and customer-oriented image to customers.


Perform all duties in accordance with Atlas Copco standards, while always striving to understand the needs and expectations of the customer.

Qualifications

Supervisory Responsibility

None

Experience

3-5+ years of sales management experience, including field sales and territory management. Industrial sales experience is a plus. Atlas Copco or Industrial gas company background is a plus.

Education

Bachelor's (4-year) Degree in Engineering, or other technical area, and/or equivalent training and education. Understanding of H2, Argon, NH3, Biogas, CO2 economies is a plus.

Skills

Must be a proven leader who is able to work independently and has excellent organizational, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. Travel required. Must have a valid driver's license.

Travel

Up to 50% local travel, and up to 50% overnight travel.
