Brown & Brown is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in Addison, TX! This individual will perform operational, transactional, and technical accounting activities in accordance with established policy, procedures, and objectives.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Assists the Controller with month-end financial reporting, budgeting, and special projects.
Reconciliation of bank statements.
Creating and posting monthly journal entries
Maintaining vendor statements.
Support accounts receivable & payables team members
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
3+ years accounting experience.
Insurance Industry experience a plus.
Excellent time management skills including the ability to coordinate large volumes of work effectively.
Must have strong background in accrual-based accounting including general ledger, balance sheet, and profit & loss statements.
Experience in bank reconciliations, accounts receivables & payables.
Knowledge of intermediate to advanced Excel required.
Must be detail oriented with focus on accuracy.
