Job description

**Position Title: Guest Room Attendant**

**Job Overview:

As a Guest Room Attendant, you play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and overall appearance of our hotel's guest rooms and public areas. Your commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and precision is essential for the success of our establishment. We're seeking a dedicated individual with a proactive approach to accomplishing tasks efficiently while upholding our company's values.

**Responsibilities:**

- Welcome and assist guests courteously and promptly, catering to their needs whenever possible.
- Adhere to hotel key control policies, ensuring responsible handling of assigned keys.
- Respect guests' privacy by following established procedures when entering and servicing rooms.
- Maintain cleanliness in assigned guest rooms by stripping linen, removing trash, and replenishing amenities.
- Ensure cleanliness of public areas including the lobby, restrooms, fitness center, and pool area.
- Respond promptly to guest requests for room cleaning.
- Perform additional cleaning tasks in administrative and employee areas as assigned.
- Collaborate with maintenance staff to address any facility-related issues promptly.
- Report property or grounds problems to supervisors for timely resolution.
- Assist other team members as needed to ensure smooth hotel operations.

**Daily Tasks:**

- Clean, sanitize, and inspect assigned guest rooms and public areas according to established standards.
- Stock housekeeping carts with necessary supplies at the beginning of each shift.
- Perform detailed cleaning tasks in guest rooms, hallways, conference spaces, restrooms, pool area, fitness center, and administrative offices.
- Ensure proper signage is placed for guest safety after cleaning activities.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas, housekeeping carts, and laundry room.

**Additional Responsibilities:**

- Maintain flexibility in work schedule to accommodate the 24/7 nature of the hospitality industry.
- Participate actively in property and department meetings.
- Accurately record work hours and breaks in the timekeeping system.
- Assist other departments to fulfill guest requests effectively.
- Provide training to new team members as requested.
- Report accidents, injuries, or hazards promptly to supervisors.
- Undertake special projects as assigned based on skills and capabilities.

**Requirements:**

- Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures.
- Familiarity with handling and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Ability to comprehend and follow instructions provided in the employee handbook.
- Proficiency in operating commercial cleaning equipment.
- Fluency in written and spoken English preferred.
