Responsibilities: • Summarizing cases and preparing reports for attorneys • Conducting research, investigating facts, and developing legal arguments • Drafting legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery responses, etc. • Preparing and filing documents with state and federal courts • Organizing and archiving the documents related to completed and ongoing cases • Keeping track of changes in the legal framework and providing timely updates on these changes • Diplomatic communication with opposing counsel and third parties • Empathetic communication with and consistent updates to clients Qualifications: Required: • 3-5 years in civil litigation (state and federal courts) • Ability to handle a large docket • Writing and proofreading skills Preferred: • Bilingual (English & Spanish) • Associate's Degree or Paralegal's Certificate • 3-5 years in debt resolution/defense Compensation: $50,000 - $65,000 yearly
