Who we’re looking for:

We are seeking a Marketing Specialist with high energy and enthusiasm to grow with our rapidly expanding company throughout the Washington, DC area. You will be an influential contributing member of the marketing team, owning numerous channels and driving subscriber growth. You should enjoy working collaboratively with other teams, including Sales and Operations, to ensure business objectives are met. 

Reporting to the Subscriber Acquisition Manager, you will contribute to the success of the Starry brand by helping to develop and execute marketing initiatives that drive customer growth throughout the Washington, DC area. Our ideal candidate is a positive, self-starter who is a creative and analytical problem solver and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves to get the job done.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop and execute local field acquisition events 
• Generate and analyze performance reports and dashboards to help identify trends and opportunities in the local market.
• Hire and supervise a team of brand ambassadors and help make other hiring decisions for the local marketing organization
• Own select local marketing channels including, but not limited to: Leasing Referral, Customer Referral, Affiliates, etc. 
• Research, write and develop marketing materials supporting local channels and present recommendations to the Marketing Manager or internal team
• Execute local co-branded partnerships to reach new customers
• Develop content marketing for website, social, and other channels to build brand awareness

Requirements

• 2-4 years marketing experience 
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office or Google Suite applications 
• Strong analytical, problem solving experience
• Previous experience with executing campaigns on different marketing channels
• Advanced organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively to customers, business stakeholders, team and partners 
• Passion and enthusiasm for events and people
• Entrepreneurial spirit, startup experience is a nice to have

Bonus points if you:

• You have previous management experience
• You have a BA or BS degree

Salary range of $55,000 to $65,000. Final salary will be based on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and training.
