Job Description:
As a Part-Time Weekend Shift Coordinator at Foundations for Living, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility during the weekends. You will provide essential support to our existing Shift Coordinators by overseeing the weekend shifts, specifically during peak hours when our residents are actively engaged in their daily treatment programming. You will work in conjunction with an additional Full-Time Shift Coordinator to ensure comprehensive coverage and support.
Key Responsibilities:
Weekend Support: Work every Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM to provide weekend coverage and support.
Program Oversight: Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure that residents are actively engaged in their daily treatment programming during your shift.
Staff Supervision: Assist in overseeing the staffing on duty during the weekends, ensuring proper staffing ratios and adherence to established protocols, alongside the Full-Time Shift Coordinator.
Crisis Management: Be prepared to handle crisis situations that may arise during your shift, working closely with other staff members and following established procedures.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of incidents, observations, and any notable developments during your shift.
Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with the Shift Coordinator Supervisor, Full-Time Shift Coordinator, and other team members to ensure a cohesive and supportive working environment.
Resident Interaction: Interact with residents in a compassionate and supportive manner, helping to create a safe and therapeutic atmosphere.
Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required; bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
Previous experience working in a residential treatment facility, group home, or similar setting is highly desirable.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to remain calm and composed during high-stress situations.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of trauma-informed care and experience working with at-risk youth is a plus.
Must pass a background check and drug screening.
