Position Summary:
100% Remote
Provides leadership, oversight, administrative support and direction in the management of the accounts receivable for the Carle Health West Region. Oversees the business office operations to ensure effective and efficient revenue cycle management. Accountable for personnel related duties that include interviewing, job performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, payroll reporting, and enforcing required rules and regulations. Manages resources to meet budgetary, productivity and customer service requirements. Manages resources to ensure timely follow up and collection of outstanding receivables for all business lines.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS - Three (3) years of supervisory experience in a healthcare accounts receivable management role.
- Epic Readiness classes, certification or proficiency in designated platform(s) within the first 18 months.
- Carle leadership classes required within the first year of employment.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE - Ability to lead teams and manage resources to successfully complete specific projects, goals, objectives and initiatives.
- Ability to analyze financial data and apply the analysis towards effective decision making.
- Requires strong analytical, problem resolution, customer service and oral and written communication skills.
- Must have the ability to multitask and adhere to work plans and timelines.
- Must keep up to date on all regulatory requirements.
- Requires knowledge of supervising and training personnel
- Coordinates activities of subordinates in billing and collection, third party reimbursement
Essential Functions: - Manages operational processes for multiple lines of business to facilitate effective accounts receivable management.
- Maintains ongoing knowledge of all job functions performed in the areas being managed.
- Maintains a thorough working knowledge of all of the systems utilized in the areas being managed.
- Communicates effectively with internal and external customers.
- Hires, trains, disciplines, supervises, and motivates all employees.
- Maintains appropriate internal controls, written policies and procedures and safeguards over revenue cycle activities.
- Identifies, discusses, plans and implements the applications, systems or modifications to enhance systems.
- In collaboration with the Director of Revenue Cycle Denials, Regional AR & SBU's, prepares annual budget for department.
- Monitors, verifies and reconciles department expenditures on a monthly basis.
- Collaborates closely with the clinical leadership to ensure effective financial outcomes.
- Handles quality assurance/compliance matters as required and expected per policy and Code of Conduct.
- Contributes, interprets and analyzes financial data to identify
- Monitor performance and establish financial benchmarks for the department.
- Facilitates and collaborates on initiatives within the department, in clinical operational areas and enterprise wide.
- Endorses and performs all required tasks associated with the Carle Experience
- Regular rounding with staff and completion of all reports to have productive monthly meetings with manager.
- Works in conjunction with Finance/Accounting
- Ensure accurate tracking, capturing and reporting of revenue for each business line.
- Proficient within associated system applications for assigned portfolios, including but not limited to Epic and Mediquant.
- Maintains working knowledge of CPT, ICD, HCPCS code sets
- Maintains working knowledge of HIPAA transaction code sets and payer rules and regulations.
- Creates, updates, maintains, adheres and enforces all Carle administrative and departmental policy and procedures.
- All other duties as assigned
- Kronos/time keeping responsibility for all staff directly reporting to this position in Revenue Cycle Regional AR.
