Job description

As a Writer, you will be responsible for providing innovative and captivating content and concepts for the development and implementation of events, scripts, projects, and shows, from their inception through production and delivery. This role requires close collaboration with a diverse array of partners, including Show Directors, Production teams, Designers, Artists, Music Directors, Clients, and Sales & Service.
The Show Director reports to the Entertainment - Creative Director.
This is a Part-Time position.
Collaborate extensively with multiple partners before and during production to develop creative content
Work closely with the Creative Director, Show Directors, Producer, and production teams to develop show concepts, scripts, and creative deliverables
Provide creative input and ideas to meet client objectives for corporate events, affluent events, and internal Disney events
Develop and deliver high-quality creative content for a range of live entertainment corporate and private experiences, including theatre, video production, themed entertainment, event production, and immersive experiences
At least seven years of proven professional experience writing live entertainment experiences in theatre, television, themed entertainment, event production, or immersive experiences
Proven experience in crafting content for corporate events, including speeches, presentations, scripts, and promotional materials tailored to the corporate event industry
Ability to collaborate optimally with show directors, designers, and other production team members to ensure the alignment of content with the overall event vision
Demonstrated knowledge of creative writing and stagecraft
Demonstrated ability to be a standout colleague
Demonstrated talent in creativity and idea generation
Passion for innovation and a deep understanding of client needs
Demonstrated storytelling skills and the ability to build compelling narratives that align with the specific themes or messages of the events DEG produces for their clients
Proven presentation skills
Adaptability to a wide variety of projects and working environments
Previous experience working in a fast-paced, environment, such as the events industry, where tight deadlines and quick turnarounds are common
Prior Disney experience and knowledge of the various Disney brands & Intellectual Property
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in theatrical/creative writing field
