Description About Shriver Job Corps Center The Shriver Job Corps Center provides students with the opportunity to earn their High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), and hands-on training in the following areas: Certified Nurse Assistant, Clinical Medical Assistant, Medical Administration Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Plumbing, Painting, Security and Protective Services, HVAC, Landscaping, Electrical, and Building Construction Technology.

As a Registered Nurse at Shriver Job Corps Center, your role will be crucial in ensuring the health and safety of our student population. You will provide expert and compassionate care that not only addresses immediate health needs but also contributes to creating a supportive and thriving community. Your responsibilities will include offering preventative and emergency health services and wellness education to students. You will ensure that all sensitive information is kept confidential and that all HIPAA laws are followed.
May serve as Health & Wellness Director (if allowed under local state practice law). Assists in the supervision and management of the Wellness Services Department and subcontracted wellness services including mental health, dental and medical services.
Responsibilities: - Health Assessments: Conduct health assessments and screenings to identify and address the healthcare needs of students. Collaborate with medical professionals to develop and implement individualized healthcare plans.
- Clinical Care: Provide direct nursing care, including administering medications, wound care, and other necessary treatments. Respond promptly to medical emergencies and ensure appropriate interventions are initiated.
- Health Education: Develop and deliver health education programs to promote preventive care and overall wellness. Empower students with the knowledge and skills to make informed decisions about their health.
- Health Advocacy: Advocate for the health and well-being of students, collaborating with other departments to ensure a holistic approach to student success. Participate in meetings and committees focused on student welfare.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records. Prepare and submit reports as required by regulatory agencies. Ensure compliance with healthcare policies and procedures.

Qualifications Minimum of an Associate of Arts degree in nursing. Active, unrestricted license to practice in state where center is located. Three years of health care experience, with at least one year in a supervisory capacity required. Regional approval required.
