We provide high-end technical services, research and development, and prototype solutions to some of the country’s most challenging technical problems.   All Riverside Research opportunities require U.S. Citizenship.   Riverside Research is seeking a full-time Senior Space Operations Subject Matter Expert to support Space Operations Command (SpOC) at Peterson Space Force Base (SFB), Colorado. Candidate will join a team developing and presenting Initial Qualification Training (IQT)/Mission Qualification Training (MQT) to United States Space Force (USSF) Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (ISR) Guardians. Candidates will utilize best practices of the Instructional System Development (ISD) model employed by the Department of the Air Force (DAF) to create courseware that encompasses but is not limited to space operations, orbital mechanics, orbital warfare, electronic warfare, and operational planning. Candidates will present material primarily through in-person classroom instruction at Peterson SFB, CO, though there will be limited travel to other locations. Candidates must be proficient in standard office software applications and capable of devising practical and sustainable solutions.” Support identification, validation, and prioritization of initial qualification training (IQT) and mission qualification training (MQT) requirements related to space operations, orbital mechanics, orbital warfare, electronic warfare, and operational planning for USSF ISR Enterprise Guardians Survey available courses or instructional materials available throughout the Department of Defense (DoD) that may partially or wholly meet IQT/MQT needs Where existing courses or instructional materials do not exist or do not meet USSF requirements, create tailored, domain-specific courseware that incorporates DAF community best practices for ISD Evaluate IQT/MQT material on an annual basis for currency and relevancy to evolving USSF mission assets; revise material as needed to meet validated, prioritized requirements As part of a team, deliver IQT/MQT through in-person classroom instruction; on a limited basis, participate in mobile training teams presenting training at other locations Explore the use of computer-based training (CBT) or distance learning thru video teleconferencing; provide recommendations on how this may be implemented Required Qualifications Active TS clearance with SCI adjudication Bachelor's in business administration, accounting, finance, engineering, computer science, physics, math, history, or related fields United States Air Force (USAF)/ USSF Space professional with a minimum of 15 years’ experience supporting space operations to include orbital warfare, electronic warfare, and operational planning Qualification in any of the following USAF/USSF Specialty Codes: 13S – Space Operations Officer, 1C6 – Space Systems Operations, 5S – Space Systems Operator Experience developing training material and presenting in a classified environment Effective/efficient written/verbal communication skills; proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Self-motivated, detail oriented, responsible team player able to work independently with minimal daily direction Ability to work and interact with technically and organizationally diverse personnel Open to occasional travel Desired Qualifications: Experience with United States Space Force (USSF) organization, mission, roles, and responsibilities Experience with or assignments to National Space Defense Center (NSDC), Combined Space Operations Center (CSOC), or Joint Task Force Space Defense, Experience or assignments to Space Delta 2, 3, 5, 8, or 9 Weapons Instructor Course (WIC) or Advanced Instructor Course (AIC) graduate from the United States Air Force Weapons School Assignment to or deployments in support of a Combined Air Operations Center (CAOC) Master's in business administration, accounting, finance, engineering, computer science, physics, math, history, or related field Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience.
