Job Title: Senior Managing Mechanical Engineer
Location: Redmond, WA (hybrid: 2-3 days on site)
Salary: $140k - $160k
Requirements: PE License, IoT, Smart Building

What You Will Be Doing

1.Project Support
a. Collaborate with client operations teams to support the management of building infrastructure projects, including end-of-life asset replacement, system troubleshooting, HVAC system optimization, and alarm management.
b. Review and evaluate mechanical system designs, offering expert insights and recommendations to enhance system efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.

2. Client Relationship Management
a. Develop and maintain strong client relationships by understanding their needs, providing technical solutions, and delivering exceptional service.
b. Act as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, concerns, and project updates.

3. Peer Review
a. Conduct peer reviews of mechanical system designs, calculations, and documentation prepared by engineers of record on behalf of the client.
b. Provide feedback on design projects with respect to client design standards, industry best practices, and experience-driven knowledge.

4. Mentorship and Training
a. Mentor and guide younger engineers, fostering their technical growth, problem-solving abilities, and project management skills.
b. Collaborate with the engineering team to develop training programs and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

5. Technical Expertise
a. Stay current with industry trends, codes, and best practices in mechanical engineering.
b. Act as a technical authority within the organization and to clients, offering insights on complex engineering challenges and innovative solutions.

6. Business Development and Client Management
a. Build and manage long-term client relationships to ensure ongoing engagement.
b. Develop new business opportunities within the client space.
c. Manage account financials, ensuring account profitability.

What You Need for this Position

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.

- 15-25 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a strong background in building infrastructure projects.

- Experience in operations preferred.

- Experience in energy conservation within building systems.

- Proven expertise in HVAC systems.

- Excellent project management and problem-solving skills.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.

- Demonstrated leadership and mentorship capabilities.
