• Full Time
  FTE: 0.9 (36 hours/week)
  Work Schedule: Varied Days and Hours
• $1.75/hour night and $1.50/hour weekend differentials. .
• Non-exempt (hourly)
• Sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 , based upon level of experience.

The Paramedic performs advanced patient care within State approved scope of practice in the emergency department setting. Receives emergency medical telephone calls and provides emergency care to injured or ill patients.

 

• NM Paramedic license AND 5 yrs. of direct patient care Paramedic experience OR Associate degree (any field of study).

• High school or GED plus trade or vocational school in paramedicine.

• Current NM Paramedic License required.

• National EMT License preferred.

• Ability to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions is required.

• 2-5 years of experience as a paramedic preferred.

• Current CPR and ACLS is required.

• Ability to type 20 wpm preferred.

Emergency Dept/Urgent Care:

• Previous EMS Dispatch experience preferred. 2 years ED patient care experience including triage experience preferred.

Detailed Responsibilities For Paramedics in the ED setting:

• Performs care to ED patients as identified in the Paramedic Scope of Practice policy
