Our Water Technologies Division is currently searching for an experienced Quality Specialist to support the production of filtration products at the Veolia WTS Minnetonka site. We are looking for a highly motivated and technically strong team member to support our manufacturing facility. In this role, this specialist is responsible for ensuring department standards are met, including quality, training, data capture, work processes, and troubleshooting. The specialist is responsible for ensuring defects are recognized in a timely manner, conducting thorough root cause analysis and driving corrective actions. In addition, this team member needs to drive process improvements that will lead to less customer issues, scrap and warranty cost for the Filters department. Essential Responsibilities:
- Improve, support and control manufacturing processes of filtration products in all area of Filters production
- Analyze machine and product problems and take corrective measures to minimize scrap, rework, and escaping defects
- Assure that all production data are complete and accurately documented to provide an accurate technical base for future reference and to meet customer requirements
- Perform product quality related measurements, testing and disposition of final products and raw material
- Support material and defect review processes, focus on quality priorities and manage quality reporting
- Assure that customer issues are tracked and addressed in a timely and correct manner by managing customer data and leading improvement actions
- Execute necessary investigation and rework on returned products
- Enhance teamwork and communicate with team members to raise awareness of product and process deviation and assist in problem solving
- Lead RCA and lessons learned processes in the department and communicate it to the team members
- Support and improve quality audit structure
- Implement quality-related actions, bring new ideas and positive support to the current process
- Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and participate in EHS related actions to improve safety in own area
Qualifications/Requirements:
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Strong knowledge and understanding of flow production
- Experience in measurements and use of measurement tools and gauges
- Experience in quality testing of material
- Strong skillset of analyzing information, reporting quality results and making recommendations based on the data and results
- Ability to prioritize and organize work by providing direction and addressing issues
- Proficient in computer programs, i.e. Google office Suite, Microsoft Office and SAP
- Ability to work under minimal supervision and strong problem-solving skills
- Customer focused, detail and team-oriented attitude
- Strong oral and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills
