Job description
In this high visibility role, the Commercial Finance & RevOps Manager will be the link-pin between Finance and the Commercial team for both the Systech and CDS businesses as it relates to everything Commercial strategy, commission plan alignment, deal desk and financial reporting
The role covers 2 separate companies, which sell a variety of solutions (Serialization, Track & Trace and 3D Visualization) to the manufacturing, life sciences, pharmaceuticals and other industries with customers ranging from the likes of companies such as Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, 3M, Grainger, Astra-Zeneca and many more. In this role you closely collaborate with Commercial & Finance leadership, the FP&A Director and commercial analyst.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Be a true Business Partner to the commercial teams, providing accurate and timely financial analysis of commercial performance
- Be the operational system owner of our CRM solution, ensuring user functionality, workflows, reporting capabilities and data quality are best in class
- Develop and maintain regular management reporting, including monthly/quarterly performance and forecasts and develop and analyze KPI's and market trends
- Manage annual and long-term strategic planning processes for the commercial organization
- Analyze, track, and forecast commercial performance (e.g., pipeline health, commit tracking, deal pricing & margin, at risk customers, etc.).
- Responsible for commercial risk management. Collaborate with commercial teams to customize deal structures to meet customers' specific requirements, develop new business models to capture new business opportunities
- Provide commercially sound financial analysis for ad hoc projects, including cost effectiveness, commercial viability and operational capability
- Ensures accurate communication of customer’s commercial requirements and provides an sound assessment of the contractual/financial risks. Secures proper approval levels within the organization including to the Executive Leadership Team as necessary.
- Drives the review and evaluation of the customer’s contract conditions and ensures examination by Legal.
- Partner with leadership to establish annual quotas for commercial team members based on business AOP targets. Create and maintain the commission plans, and provide commission calculations for the sales team
- Responsible for trade compliance function in close collaboration with the corporate legal team to ensure compliance with governing regulations.
- Review and approve escalations related to Know Your Customer reviews of companies, entities, organizations and individuals.
- Lead management routines with key stakeholders to review the status of the projects and to update the pipeline
- Perform ad-hoc financial and commercial analysis to support key business decisions
Qualifications / Requirements/Desired Characteristics
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business studies or a related field required, CFA, CPA, or Master’s degree a plus
- 5-7 years’ experience in the financial planning & analysis, with at least 3 years' experience supporting commercial organization (CRM admin, target setting, commission planning, contract management)
- Proficiency in Salesforce CRM, with the ability to design and create processes and dashboards is a requirement for this role
- Advanced understanding of commercial contract terms and conditions for a SaaS/Services business.
- High proficiency in building financial models for business cases and commercial arrangements

Work Arrangement : Hybrid
Salary Range : $120,000.00 - $145,000.00
