Captivation Software has an immediate need for a mid/senior level automated test engineer who will support testing of the new RAD application being developed to converge and replace multiple legacy SIGINT reporting tools. Responsibilities will include: assessing software quality through testing; automating test procedures; developing test plans, procedures, traceability matrices, and conducting test events; performing functional regression, integration, validation, and compliance testing; and writing discrepancy reports to verify/validate software fixes.
Requirements
Security Clearance:
- Must currently hold a Top Secret / SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Four (4) years of additional TE experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.
- Master’s degree can be substituted for two (2) years experience
- Shall have a minimum of four (4) years experience as a Test Engineer in test engineering or integration of modern hardware/software systems.
Required Skills:
- Automating test activities and processes
- Supporting a Software Development team in developing an understanding of requirements and implementation processes for testing
- Supporting Agile software development processes
- Evaluating the effectiveness, quality, and performance of applications
- Identifying and troubleshooting system defects
- Documenting standard test artifacts (test plans, test cases, test reports)
- Evaluating web-based GUIs and API-based endpoints against defined requirements
Desired Skills:
- Using Cypress for test automation
- Evaluating web-based GUI accessibility standards (Section 508)
- Supporting application compliance using specific standards and controls
- Using Jira and Confluence

Benefits
- Annual Salary: $210,000 - $270,000 (Depends on the years of experience)
