Seneca Holdings is seeking a Business Development Project Manager in our Chantilly, VA office.
The Business Development Project Manager will oversee BD PMO functions, ensuring alignment with the BD Operations mission and objectives. The BD PMO oversees the BD pipeline and BD meeting management in addition to the tracking of past performance, CPARS, NDAs/TAs, and contracts. The person in this role must possess leadership and team-building skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor the BD PMO team. In addition, the BD Project Manager will manage and lead internal projects, to include setting deliverables, deadlines, assigning resources and tasks, monitoring, and preparing reports/presentations for leadership review. This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days a week in our Chantilly, VA office.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Foster and manage relationships with key stakeholders including contracts, marketing, and subsidiary leadership.
- Weekly or daily reporting on project status, risks, and issues.
- Report and escalate issues and delays which may impact projects to leadership.
- Champion, maintain and improve process documentation
- Supervise BD marketing materials and presentations in partnership with the Marketing and Communications team.
- Manage resources for capture and proposal support.
Skills Required
- Self-motivated and proven experience in managing teams between 2-5 people
- Strong understanding of project management and business development methodologies.
- Good critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent writing skills and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrated ability to distribute and manage high volume workload proficiently and effectively.
- Advanced in Microsoft Office with an emphasis in Excel and Word.
- Proficient in navigating SharePoint-based applications.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Fast learner with the ability to quickly adapt and prioritize focus.
- Experience with pipeline management software preferred but not required
Experience Required
- At least 5 years relevant project management experience
- 2 years of relevant business development experience
- Background in federal government contracting
- PMP certification is preferred but not required
