Job description

Georgia - Family Medicine Program Director

Georgia hospital and FQHC is seeking a Family Medicine Program Director for their future Family Medicine Residency Program.

Qualified Candidates:
• Must be Board Certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine
• Must have a minimum of 3 years of faculty experience in an ACGME accredited Family Medicine Residency Program
• Have at least 3 years of GME administrative experience prior to appointment
• Be willing to combine Administrative and Diagnostic (teaching) Responsibilities
• Have strong administrative and team building skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the program in their vision and recruit their own core faculty.
• Candidates with recent scholarly activity such as peer reviewed funding, publication of original research or review articles in peer-reviewed journals, chapters in textbooks, publication or presentation of case reports or clinical series at scientific society meetings, or participation in national committees or educations organizations highly encouraged to apply.
• The incoming physician will receive a faculty appointment through Mercer University.

About the Opportunity/Practice:
The group practice is a unique and successful FQHC offering a secure workforce and growth opportunity. They offer their patients a wide range of specialty services and have 19 locations uniquely located to serve the city and surrounding areas.
• This multi-specialty practice consists of over 50 providers, 34 physicians, 10 PAs and 12 NP
• 50% Patient Care, 50% GME Administrative Duties
• Full adult demographic
• Supervision of up to 4 mid-level providers
• EMR system is ECW and Athena
