Munich Re Specialty Group North America (MRSG N.A.) is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join us as we grow. As part of Munich Re Group, we are a unique organization providing expertise in specialty and marine lines of insurance as well as surety risks and customs bonds with in-house claims solutions.
We are seeking a full time
Senior Account Manager, Logistics Insurance to join the Roanoke Insurance Group division to be a hybrid employee in our Schaumburg, IL office reporting to the VP, Regional Product Management.
Job Profile - Assist prospects and customers with securing quotes for cargo and cargo related liability insurance
- Assist in the production of new business and handle existing accounts as assigned
- Responsible for coordinating the renewal effort for assigned cargo and liability policies
- Submit applications to various markets, tracking status and outcome of requests.
- Creates and maintains positive relationships with customers and carriers
- Provide service to company's sales staff and clients, including proposals, special quotes, certificates of insurance, policy and endorsement copies
- Communicate with clients, producers, and insurance markets to process coverage changes and respond to questions
- Verify insurance company billings/discrepancy reports as required
- Utilize our Agency Management System (Applied Epic) fully and adhere to internal process instructions
- Responsible for CoverageDock referrals
- Perform other specific duties and projects as assigned by management
Job Requirements - Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience
- 8 to 10 years property/casualty insurance experience, preferably with direct client contact
- Aptitude working with Agency Management software Applied System Epic, preferred
- Resident Property & Casualty Producers Insurance License in the state of IL.
- Strong customer service skills with an ability to assess insurance coverage needs and make recommendations
- Understanding of cargo, cargo liabilities, transportation and/or logistics insurance preferred, but not required
- Ability to analyze insurance policies and compare different coverage forms
- Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task and comply with deadlines
- Above average math skills to work with numbers and percentages
- Strong analytical skills and ability to make decisions, problem solve and think on your feet
- Goal oriented and highly self-motivated and resourceful to achieve results
- Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
