Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering (BSCE), Mechatronics or Robotics preferred with a minimum of 5 years of applicable experience.
- Fewer years will be considered with an advanced degree.
- Current experience designing analog, digital and mixed circuits including the selection of parts
- Current experience with schematic capture software (PADS Designer preferred)
- Current experience with circuit simulation tools
- Current experience with circuit design reviews
- Current experience with PCB layout requirements
- Current experience with PCB layout design reviews
- Current experience Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) manufacturing processes
- Current experience using test equipment including DMM, oscilloscope, function generator, logic analyzer, current probes, etc.
- Detailed knowledge of steps for designing a circuit from requirements to final prototype design
- Detailed knowledge of troubleshooting circuits using schematic
- Detailed knowledge of serial communication interfaces
- Ability to provide status (daily and/or weekly) as required - written or presentation
- Development of component/subsystem requirements from system requiredments
- Ability to travel to supplier and government sites
- Capable of getting a secret clearance desired
- ASR is needed to work inside tanks and military vehicles.
- Occasionally may need to lift and carry test equipment weighing 30 lbs
- Knowledge in many, but not all, of the following areas desired
- Engineering CCA design, development, and analysis software
- PSPICE
- PADS Designer
- PADS Layout
- CAM350 or CAMView
- Engineering software
- Matlab
- MATHCAD
- Visual Studio Suite
- IPC and MIL standards
- EMI/EMC design practices/standards for CCAs and harnesses
- Sensor knowledge: Sighting Systems, Gyroscopes, Position Sensors, Rate Sensors, Motors, Cameras (Day/Thermal), RADAR, LiDAR, encoders, etc.
- Motor control knowledge including: PWM and PID
- Knowledge of standard interfaces: Ethernet, USB, CAN, RS422/485,, SSI, etc.)
- Knowledge of video interfaces: SDI, DVI, HDMI, RS-170, etc.
- Knowledge of programming languages: C, C++, C#
- Servo control experience
- Microprocessor based products including processors (NXP family), chipsets, memory and bus interfaces, networking standards:
- Microcontrollers programming
- Experience with typical test equipment including Power Supplies, Oscilloscopes, DMM, Function Generators, Labview, etc. ......
