St. Edward's University of Austin, Texas invites applications for the position of half-time staff position as the Photocommunications Lab Manager. St. Edward's University invites applications for a half-time staff position as the Photocommunications Lab Manager. This is a one-year position with possibility of renewal. Salary will be determined by qualifications and experience. This position is posted as a 9-month contract, and does not include benefits.

For consideration, one must have the following: BFA in Studio Art/Photography or equivalent degree in a related discipline. Strong evidence of excellence in analog and digital photography. Ability to provide technical guidance and leadership to personnel in their area of expertise. Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to present information effectively to groups. Analytical, evaluative, and critical thinking skills. Ability to analyze supplies costs and develop cost-effective procedures. Ability to calibrate, maintain, modify, and/or repair laboratory equipment. Ability to develop appropriate safety policies for the facility/equipment users. Ability to analyze complex information, and to define and solve problems. Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures. Prior teaching and/or student supervision preferred. Successful completion of an employment and/or criminal background check.
