Job description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced ServiceNow Developer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions within the ServiceNow platform to streamline business processes and enhance overall efficiency.
As a ServiceNow Developer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, customize applications, and provide ongoing support and maintenance.
Responsibilities:
Solution Design and Development:
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and design ServiceNow solutions that align with organizational needs.
- Develop and customize ServiceNow applications, modules, forms, and workflows to optimize business processes.
Configuration and Customization:
- Configure and customize ServiceNow modules, including Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, and other ITSM processes.
- Implement and maintain ServiceNow configurations, business rules, UI policies, and client scripts.
Integration:
- Collaborate with integration teams to design and implement ServiceNow integrations with third-party systems and applications.
- Develop and maintain integration workflows and scripts to ensure seamless data flow between ServiceNow and other platforms.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, system administrators, and end-users, to gather requirements and ensure successful project delivery.
- Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and management to provide project updates and address any issues.
Documentation:
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for ServiceNow solutions, including design specifications, development documentation, and deployment guides.
Testing and Quality Assurance:
- Conduct thorough testing of developed solutions to ensure they meet specified requirements and are free of defects.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to address and resolve any issues identified during testing.
Support and Maintenance:
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for ServiceNow applications, addressing user-reported issues and ensuring system stability.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including upgrades, patches, and system enhancements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a ServiceNow Developer with a strong understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) processes.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow platform components, including Service Catalog, Business Rules, Workflows, and UI Policies.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other relevant technologies for ServiceNow development.
- Experience with ServiceNow integrations and a solid understanding of REST and SOAP web services.
- ServiceNow certifications (e.g., Certified Application Developer) are highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
