Job description

We are a leading provider in the telecommunications industry, committed to delivering cutting-edge solutions that drive innovation and connectivity. Currently, we are seeking a talented Senior Network Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of our complex telecommunication systems.

Role Overview:
As a Senior Network Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in providing technical support across various phases of our telecommunications projects. Collaborating closely with both technical and non-technical team members, including customers and vendors, you will serve as a subject matter expert in IP and Optical networks, contributing to the success of projects in multiple environments.

Key Responsibilities:
Offer engineering and technical expertise for telecommunications networks, focusing on IP and Optical networks within various environments.
Conduct research, analysis, and report development to provide engineering recommendations in network systems engineering, topology planning, route planning, configuration management, migration strategies, and more.
Collaborate with stakeholders for coordination, implementation, and testing of new projects, ensuring seamless transitions to operations.
Evaluate system network requirements and provide technical recommendations accordingly.
Support installation, testing, and acceptance of network components, monitoring network performance throughout.
Assist in project deployments as required.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of related experience or Master's degree with 10+ years.
Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
Current DoD 8750 certification at IAT level II, Security+ CE.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Experience in remotely configuring networking or transport devices.
Familiarity with SONET, TDM, DWDM, IP, and MPLS networks.

Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency with Juniper IOS, CISCO IOS, or other IP/transport specific management tools.
Expertise in IP routing, QoS, traffic engineering, DNS, TDM switching, Optical Transport, Crypto, and Network appliances.
Familiarity with various networking devices and protocols such as RADIUS, SNMP, NTP, TLS, and PKI.
Experience with HAIPE (KG-175D), especially with GD GemOne.
Strong leadership skills with experience in leading technical teams.
Proficiency in VISIO drawing software.
Understanding of physical network infrastructure including fiber optics and copper wiring standards, AC and DC power distribution.
JNCIA or JNCIP certification.
Knowledge of Project Management disciplines, PMP certification is a plus.
