Davis Behavioral Health, Inc. is seeking Childcare Providers to care for children ages 1-12 during evening community education classes. Ideal Childcare Providers will have previous experience working with children, be willing to work flexible hours, and commit to traveling to different areas of Davis County. This position is grant funded through the Davis County Communities That Care (CTC) coalitions.

Classes are offered in several schools throughout North Davis County (Syracuse, Clearfield, West Clinton, Sunset, West Point), Layton, and in South Davis County (Bountiful, West Bountiful, Centerville, North Salt Lake, Woods Cross).

Schedule

Childcare Providers are hired on as needed.

Employment from year to year will be contingent on employee performance and childcare needs.

Programs run between August - December and January - May. Each class meets one night a week for 7- to 8-weeks. Childcare Providers may only be scheduled for one 7- to 8-week class at a time, but it is possible to work additional classes depending on the class schedule and availability.

DBH is currently hiring childcare providers for the following evening classes in the Layton & South Davis area (Bountiful, Centerville, North Salt Lake, West Bountiful, and Woods Cross):

Compensation

The starting hourly rate for Childcare Leads is $16.00 per hour.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Qualifications

The selected candidate must successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening. DBH will not hire individuals currently using illegal drugs or abusing alcohol; therefore, making employment at DBH conditional upon successfully passing pre-employment drug screening by providing a valid sample. Candidates who are offered employment are required to report for a drug screen at an Intermountain WorkMed location within 24 hours of being requested to do so by the DBH Human Resources Department.

Davis Behavioral Health works with Federal grants and must comply with the Federal drug laws, including no use of medical marijuana.

The part-time positions at DBH are not eligible to participate in the agency's benefits program.

All employees at DBH are eligible to utilize the agency's robust Employee Assistance Program (EAP) through Intermountain LiVe Well.

Davis Behavioral Health is a drug-free workplace and requires all employees to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening. DBH will not hire individuals currently using illegal drugs or abusing alcohol; therefore, making employment at DBH conditional upon successfully passing pre-employment drug screening by providing a valid sample. Further, a ll employees at DBH must successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check as part of DBH's licensing agreement with the State of Utah. Failure to pass either screening will result in the termination of any job offer submitted and/or employment for any individual who has started employment while the criminal background screening is in process. Pending and/or open charges will likely impact a candidate's ability to pass the pre-employment criminal background screening.
