In this highly visible role, you will be part of the Finance transformation team and journey streamlining strategic initiatives, overseeing project and program management, and communicating objectives across the organization. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to navigate complex business challenges and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
We seek a result-oriented, agile, and talented Finance Operations Senior Director who will report to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This role is a critical member of the Finance team and a Finance Strategic Business Partner for the Chief Operations Officer (COO).
The role - Work closely with the CFO to develop and execute the finance department's strategic initiatives, operational plans, and transformation projects.
- Drive the business leader to make more profitable or positive operation decisions based on targeted analysis and data from industry benchmarking.
- Drive special projects for Finance, including but not limited to QBR, renewals, and booking transformation.
- Identify and drive actions and changes required by the CFO org to achieve their long term goals.
Accurately and acutely analyze financial data and other business-critical data to identify better ways of operating. - Partner cross-functionally to drive efficiency, efficacy, and profitability through improved processes, systems, and data.
- Streamline data analysis for the business, ultimately minimizing irrelevant data.
Communicate in an intuitive way to the business to clearly build a trusted and open relationship. - Demonstrate thought leadership by presenting alternative recommendations to existing approaches.
- Identify and remove system and process roadblocks across all functions.
- The position requires working in the office at least three (3) days per week with the option to work remotely on other days.
What you'll bring: - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- +10 years of experience in related roles, preferably in technology companies.
- Relevant experience in project and program management for Finance transformation.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suites, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in ERP and financial planning and analysis software/tools (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Anaplan, Tableau).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills: Ability to use business data to assess existing decisions and identify areas of improvement.
- Ability to influence tough decision-making processes.
- Change management and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic thinking, growth mindset, and result oriented.
- Excellent interpersonal skills: Ability to work and develop strong relationships across all levels.
As required by the equal pay and transparency act in California, the expected base salary for this position is: Base Salary Range - $195,000 - $310,000 The expected pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. Employees are eligible to participate in Hitachi Vantara's bonus and executive incentive pay programs, where applicable, and are subject to the program's conditions and restrictions.
