Job description
Kelly Science is seeking a Laboratory Technologist I/ II for a growing company located near Lancaster, PA.
Pay: $28-35/hour (depending on experience)
Shift: 2 nd Shift Monday-Friday 3:00pm- 11:30pm + alternating Saturdays
Employment Type: Full Time (can be Temp-to-hire or Direct Hire)
SUMMARY
Accurately analyze specimens and handle equipment according to study and client specifications. Perform and document routine and non-routine analysis that delivers on-time, correct results. Validate results using technical and clinical rules with supporting IT systems. Deliver on-time, high-quality data that ultimately will be uploaded seamlessly into the central database, can be reported to investigators and sponsors, and properly powers the statistical analysis for a successful submission to regulatory bodies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct laboratory testing according to established global protocols, timelines, and established procedures (SOPs) to generate high-quality, error-free, analytical results.
Escalate issues potentially impacting patient safety, data quality, service levels
Perform and document quality controls per set SOPs and established guidelines.
Perform and document routine equipment preventative maintenance and repairs.
Comply with relevant GxP, DoH, CAP and CLIA where locally applicable.
Perform duties as assigned including assist supervisor in writing SOPs and other relevant delegated tasks, provide support of all laboratory functions including inventory, stocking, housecleaning, archiving and safety tasks, act as back-up to colleagues on leave.
Perform clinical validations; integrate with QC/technical validation.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory technology, Medical Laboratory Science, or similar life science field preferred.
High School and Associates degree level education requires ample relevant experience.
ASCP certification is required
0-8+ years experience in a clinical laboratory environment
Proficient usage of a commercial grade or customized clinical LIMS
Generalist experience preferred
