Credit Coordinator

The Credit Coordinator position is primarily responsible for supporting the daily operation of the Helzberg Diamonds Credit Card, Private Account, Buy Now Pay Later and Lease to Own programs, by helping the Consumer Finance leadership team oversee the regular daily operational program components and supporting the Store Operations team with a focus on servicing and transactional credit related items. The primary accountability is to work with the Payments Program Manager to oversee financing/leasing programs, ensuring both sales goals can be achieved, as well as maintaining high levels of risk controls. This includes helping to resolve service-related tickets in a prompt and professional manner and distributing credit related reports to ensure compliance, knowledge, and performance are optimal on all consumer finance and lease programs. This position will work directly with external partners and internal teams to respond to customer and store related credit inquiries and work with all parties to improve communication and processes around credit operations.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Responsible for responding to and tracking store inquiries related to credit.
• Work with external financing partners on credit related inquiries and is responsible for following up with the stores and/or Care.
• Responsible for working with Consumer Finance, Care, Store Ops, Sales Audit, and bank/lease partners to resolve escalated customer service issues and work with the teams to create improvements in communications, processes, or training to avoid further issues.
• Perform monthly reporting on ticket activity by specific criteria to measure performance and share with Store Operations and/or external partners to increase awareness and drive improvements.
• Work with Consumer Finance and internal partners to update credit plans in the POS and on Helzberg.com when necessary.
• Support the Program Manager to maintain the Credit resources on the Huddle and respond to credit related comments as needed.
• Assist the Consumer Finance team with the creation and delivery of credit training materials.
• Help respond to issues identified by the bank as sensitive and/or regulatory Customer Complaints in a timely manner.
• Respond to credit compliance related issues the bank identifies and work with stores to communicate and rectify any issues around outdated credit materials in-store.
• Help manage the ordering and delivery of Credit brochures with banking partners, warehouse, and the SSC mailroom.
• Distribute regular monthly credit reports relevant to their credit performance to the Store Operations teams.
• Assist with creating and submitting monthly credit invoices for payment.
• Assist with sales-tax recovery and bankruptcy related items.
• Assist with and participate in quarterly Call listening sessions with the bank.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
• One to three years of relevant work experience.
• Retail or Customer Service experience preferred.
• Basic Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills required.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills required, along with the ability to handle multiple tasks and be detail oriented. Strong writing skills required to summarize data in written reports.
• Hybrid schedule with predictable onsite attendance required three or more days per week to perform essential functions involving interactive behaviors with co-workers and managers, operation or manipulation of equipment and/or materials located only on site, and direct interaction with internal and/or external customers.
