Job description
Nakupuna Solutions is seeking a Senior Scrum Master to provide leadership, management, and direction for the work of an Agile development team and oversee the software development lifecycle in an agile transformation initiative. This role requires supervising of contractor personnel, and communicating policies, purposes, and goals of our Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) clients.

- Meet with client, customer, and contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and relevant deliverable items pertaining to the implementation of an agile framework
- Communicate agile policies, purposes, and goals of the organization to all relevant operational direct contract-support staff
- Plans and facilitates scrum activities, including sprint planning, daily stand up, demos, board reviews, and retrospectives
- Collaborates with clients or end users to understand business requirements
- Acts as a liaison between development teams and product management, ensuring that appropriate project progress is made
- Identify and resolves impediments that slow development or prevent the team from meeting established goals or milestones.
- Conduct monthly meeting with Program Manager, NIWC government and contractor support personnel to discuss requirements and expectations
- Prepare and deliver Bi-Weekly Activity Reports to the Program Manager. May also include Contracting Officer Representative (COR), the Government Technical Point of Contact (TPOC), and the Contracting Officer/Specialist as required
- Other duties as assigned by your supervisor
Qualifications Required:
- Performs work with a high degree of latitude. Handles the most complex issues. Possesses expert knowledge of subject matter. Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to subordinate group. May act as a lead or first-level supervisor.
- Requires a bachelor's degree and 5+ or more years of experience; may require Scrum Master Certification (CSM).
Qualifications Desired:
- Master’s degree in an information technology or agile discipline/certification.
- Experience and proficiency communicating highly effective technical topics effectively, using both written and oral communication. This includes experience in technical writing and documentation of complex technical concepts.
Education:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a discipline related to engineering, information technology, or management.
Clearance:
- This position requires the ability to retain a Public Trust clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.
Physical Requirements: In addition to the skills and qualifications mentioned above, candidates must, at a minimum, be able to meet the following physical requirements.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to use stairs without assistance
- Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers
- Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, lift, carry, reach, kneel, crouch, bend and climb a step stool/ladder
