Job description
The Building People, LLC, has a position open for a full-time Real Estate Analyst to support a state government customer in Virginia. Note: Position may be located in either Northern, VA or Richmond, VA.
Responsibilities
- Market Analysis: Conducting market research and analysis to determine the value of properties and identify potential investment opportunities or risks.
- Financial Analysis: Preparing financial models and forecasts to assess the financial viability of real estate projects or transactions.
- Transaction Support: Assisting with the negotiation, due diligence, and closing of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and leases.
- Lease Administration: Managing leases, including lease renewals, amendments, and terminations, and ensuring compliance with lease terms.
- Portfolio Management: Managing and optimizing a portfolio of properties, including evaluating performance and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to real estate transactions and property management.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicating with internal and external stakeholders, including tenants, property owners, and government agencies, to address issues and provide updates.
- Data Analysis: Analyzing real estate data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization.
- Reporting: Preparing reports, presentations, and other materials to communicate findings and recommendations to management and stakeholders.
- Property Management: Overseeing the day-to-day operations of properties, including maintenance, repairs, and tenant relations.
Preferred Experience & Skills
- Real estate work experience in a government or public sector setting.
- Relevant certifications, such as a Real Estate Analyst Certification (REAC) or Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), may be preferred.
Required Education
- Bachelor's degree in real estate, finance, business administration, or a related field.
- A master's degree may be preferred.
