Shift: Rotating - 12 hours, rotating weekends, 36 hours / week
Work Location: Onsite; Palo Alto, CA
Duties and Responsibilities
- Preferred Qualifications: 3-5+ years of cardiac, vascular, and thoracic operating room experience. Previous experience in a Level 1 academic medical center
- Provides age-specific, quality, patient-centered care to all patients using the nursing process and standards of nursing practice with sensitivity and respect for the diversity of the human experience.
- Expedites appropriate care and treatment, using critical reasoning and astute clinical judgment especially given the patient may present with complex problems or potentially life-threatening conditions
- Must have 2+ years of circulating experience. Scrub experience is a plus. Prefer candidates with previous travel experience, as well as academic medical center experience. On-Call is required with a 30-minute callback time. Among others, types of procedures include transplants (heart and lung), VATS, robotic thoracic cases, VAD, ECMO, complex aortic surgeries, and a robust minimally invasive valve program.

Education Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Nursing from an accredited academic institution. (preferred)
Licenses and Certifications
- RN - Registered Nurse
- BLS - Basic Life Support
Experience
- Must have 2+ years of circulating experience. Scrub experience is a plus. Prefer candidates with previous travel experience, as well as academic medical center experience
