PAID INTERNSHIP AVAILABLE

The Pioneer Valley Planning Commission (PVPC) is currently accepting applications for three to six Paid Transit Planning Internship positions in the transit division on behalf of the Pioneer Valley Transit Authority (PVTA).

The responsibility of this position includes onboard survey of PVTA bus riders as part of the Southern System Customer Survey and involvement in discussions on survey progress and strategy. Appropriate candidates include outgoing, ambitious, responsible, and reliable active undergraduate college students with an interest in the field of communications, statistics, opinion/political polling, transit, or transportation planning. This internship will help you hone your communication skills to a diverse population by assisting PVTA with their quadrennial customer survey.

PVPC will pay $16/hour for this position. Candidates will need to be available to work for up to 15 hours per week (Mondays through Fridays with some flexibility, potential for some Weekends) from March – May 2024 and is dependent on project progress.

This is a temporary position, and there are no fringe benefits associated with it, such as health insurance, paid vacation, or sick time. Applicants must be comfortable traveling to locations in Hampden County, excel data entry, survey software and videoconferencing. Strong mobile device and computer skills are desirable.
