Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking a Quality Lab Technician for fully-benefitted long-term contract position at a premiere client in Irving, TX. Pay Rate: $22/hr
Schedule: M-F; 9AM-5PM
Overview
This client is an industry-leading medical device company focused on manufacturing breast implants. In this role you’ll be working with cross-functional teams to responsible for quality assurance testing, ensuring proper safety procedures, and conducting inspection tests to control optimum quality. This role will give you an opportunity to develop, manufacture, and market innovative, science-based products for surgical and non-surgical medical procedures that allow breast surgery patients to improve their quality of life.
Responsibilities:
Read and interpret drawings, QC inspection procedures, techniques, and test methods to perform the defined tasks, inspections and evaluate the results as described with accuracy as part of incoming, in-process and finished device inspection.
Ensure incoming components and chemical sampling and testing is performed in a GMP environment
Perform lab testing according to assigned lab work center which may include but not limited to material measurements, turbidity, peel strength, tensile testing, joint and leak tests.
Assist in the performance of technical protocols
Ensures proper safety procedures and practices are used including maintenance of the work area, tools, and test equipment in a clean and safe condition
Ability to perform basic maintenance and diagnose problems for inspection equipment
Investigate and determine potential sources of failures and provide and implement solutions to prevent failures
Handling shifting priorities for self and others based on business demands
Generate updates to documents and create new documents as required
Ability to manage one or two small projects independently
Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
Qualifications:
A minimum of a high school diploma is required. Prefer coursework to include Mathematics, Algebra.
A minimum of four 4 years lab experience, or equivalent knowledge and skills necessary to satisfactorily perform the position responsibilities is required.
GMP/GDP experience preferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced diverse team environment
