Soccer Age Group Director: Fairfax & Loudoun County
Overview:
The St. James FC Virginia has expanded its organizational footprint throughout Loudoun & Fairfax County and is now looking to add 4 new Directors that will work in our key age groups and help define the future of our organization. These positions are full-time, salaried positions with the opportunity of Health and Retirement benefits. Current openings include:
- Fairfax Boys U7-U12 Director
- Fairfax Girls U7-U12 Director
- Loudoun Boys U7-U12 Director
- Loudoun Girls U7-U12 Director
- Loudoun Boys U13-U19 Director
- Loudoun Girls U13-U15 Director
- Loudoun Girls U16-U19 Director
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of USSF C License or foreign license equivalent (or in the process of earning C License) for all U7-U12 Director positions
-Minimum of USSF B License or foreign license equivalent (or in the process of earning) for all U13-U19 Director positions
- Practical coaching experience at the youth level, specific to your desired position
- Ability to relate and communicate with young players of all levels.
- Proven ability to communicate with parents and articulate concepts.
- Demonstrate leadership qualities and ability to manage staff.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills with good time management.
- Have a dynamic personality with innovative ideas and strong motivational skills.
- Possess a player development philosophy that is in line with the club’s mission.
- Committed to working a non-traditional schedule of afternoons, evenings, and weekends
- Eligible to begin position no later than July 1st 2024
ROLE OF THE AGE GROUP DIRECTOR:
- Responsible for the management and oversight of day-to-day operations within respective age band
- Conduct/Attend tryouts for all age groups within age band
- Coach 1 team within respective age band
- Manage multiple locations within the county where teams train/ play matches.
- Manage staff within your assigned locations
- Communicate with parents on a weekly basis and send a weekly email describing current and future events, status updates, training updates etc.
- Assist in developing Training curriculum and seasonal development plans for respective age band
- Attend Technical Staff Meetings.
- Conduct Staff Meetings and Coaching Education for coaches in age groups that you oversee.
- Assist in coordination of all training schedules and training fields in specified age group.
- Ensure all league/ game matches have proper Coaches coverage.
- Ensure rosters for weekends are sufficient and set and help staff to prepare for weekend.
- Ensure player, parent, and coach code of conduct are followed.
- Report Directly to Boys or Girls Director of Coaching and Director of Soccer
