Position
LVMH Fashion Group is seeking an Accounting Manager to join us at our New York City corporate office!
The Fashion Group provides support functions to 5 brands present in the US – Celine, Givenchy, Loewe, Kenzo and Emilio Pucci. These 5 brands represent approx. 800 employees, 80 retail location, as well as an important volume of wholesale and a growing online business.
The purpose of this position is to reflect day-to-day operations of 5 brands/entities in their respective books, maintain and document their financial accounts. Produce monthly financial statements, report monthly IFRS financial statements and reforecast regular reporting packages for Group consolidation. Manage a team of 5 coach, train its members to increase the department’s level of competence and to improve and secure all Accounting-related operational processes.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Accounting
- Organize the work of 5 Accountants to fulfill in a timely, smooth, and effective manner its objective of closing within the deadlines.
- In accordance with the Controller’s instructions, prepare, anticipate, and plan the monthly closing work.
- Supervise and monitor the closing process of their assigned brands.
- Produce accurate timely and relevant financial statements and submit them to the ultimate review of the Controller.
- Perform account analysis on all significant accounts including but not limited to: Fixed assets, accruals, provisions, receivables & chargebacks.
- Review, control and approve monthly bank reconciliations.
- Produce or supervise the production of clear and comprehensive reconciliation schedules for internal and third-party review.
Reporting
- Supervise the monthly financial statements reporting in SyRUS.
- Prepare and key in various side elements of revise and budget reporting packages: Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Taxes.
Taxes
- Coordinate with the Controller the production of all federal taxes supporting documents and schedules, as instructed by LVMH Tax team.
- Help the team prepare local Use Tax and Sales Tax.
- Answer any question and enquiry received from local tax authorities, tax auditors and tax advisors.
Management
- Ensure adequate accounting controls and procedures are in place and followed to protect company assets.
- Perform regular performance review and set individual objectives together with the Controller and FP&A
- Coach and train their team members.
Processes optimization
- Define and implement adequate and efficient accounting processes, within the internal control frame adhered by the company.
- Support the Controller in its search of admin productivity optimization and lead implementation.
Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred.
- 7 to 10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Proven leadership ability with a track record of managing and developing teams.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics a plus (AX365)
- Advance proficient with EXCEL
- Excellent analysis skills and capacity to share his/her conclusions in a clear, rational way.
- Excellent Empathic and Communication skills: understands his/her interlocutors concerns, and answer using the appropriate language at the adequate level of detail.
