Iowa Public Radio seeks a fundraising professional to join our Development team as Membership Manager in Des Moines, Iowa. The Membership Manager leads the organization’s efforts in a variety of fundraising campaigns including direct mail, e-mail marketing, on-air pledge drives, digital fundraising and events. The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in membership and/or donor management for a non-profit organization with a proven track record of managing annual fundraising efforts in the $1 - $5 million range.

ANTICIPATED HIRING RANGE:

$51,619 - $77,428

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience Required:

• 2 to 5 years of experience in membership and donor management for a non-profit organization.
• This position requires a current state-issued driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Education Required:

• Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience from which comparable skills can be acquired.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:

• Experience using donor software programs or CRM software such as Salesforce or Blackbaud.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis in marketing and communications.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines with attention to accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
• Ability to effectively plan, create, execute, analyze and report on fundraising programs.

Preferred Experiences:

• Experience managing fundraising efforts netting $1-$5 million in annual revenue.
• Experience managing a team of 2-4 employees.
• Public radio fundraising experience, including experience managing on-air pledge drives.
• Experience using direct mail programs.
• Knowledge of integrated marketing communication techniques and principles.
