Job description

Position is responsible for a variety of tasks relating to both accounting and finance. The person has the opportunity to balance numerous roles and activities. In this role you will be able to develop skills in a variety of important financial and reporting related areas. There will be significant growth opportunities in this role with increasing exposure to multiple departments and leaders throughout the company. This role has the opportunity to mentor staff accountants within the department.

General Ledger Accounting including owning processes and accounts for multiple subsidiaries
Complete balance sheet reconciliations and complete ad-hoc general ledger analysis
Prepare schedules or reports as requested by manager, upper management, tax agencies and external auditors.
Be a key participant in internal and external audit processes including preparation of schedules and supporting workpapers. Communicate directly with auditors
Assist with various intercompany transactions and reconciliations
Liaising with US Office/Local Governments/Local Country Accountants
Participate in system enhancements, process improvements, and other department projects
Mentor and help answer questions from the staff accountants on the team
Other duties as assigned

A four-year college degree in accounting or finance is required
6-10 years of accounting experience
CPA is preferred
Strong knowledge of US GAAP accounting
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains and Microsoft Office applications.
Strong analytical, multi-tasking, communication and organizational skills
Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to learn various accounting related systems
Ability to work independently and as a team member
Software industry experience and/or international experience is a plus
