Job description

Seeking a Locum Emergency Medicine Physician at our Boynton Beach, FL facility where you will be responsible for providing timely and expert medical care to patients presenting with a wide range of emergency conditions. This includes but is not limited to assessing, diagnosing, and treating acute illnesses and injuries, as well as providing appropriate disposition and follow-up care. Collaborating effectively with nursing staff, ancillary personnel, and consulting specialists is essential to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Boynton Beach is a city located in Palm Beach County, Florida, United States. It is situated along the eastern coast of Florida, with its eastern boundary being the Atlantic Ocean. Boynton Beach is part of the Miami metropolitan area and is known for its beautiful beaches, vibrant community, and diverse cultural offerings.

Facility Description:

• 12,000 annual patient visits per year
• 11-bed Emergency Department with 1 dedicated code room
• Onsite CT and X-ray capabilities, as well as a fully equipped Lab room
• Physician coverage available 24 hours a day, with 12-hour shifts
• Pediatric patient volume comprises less than 9% of total visits
• Charting system utilized is Meditech PDOC

Qualifications:

• Medical degree from an accredited institution
• Board certification in Emergency Medicine
• Valid Florida medical license with DEA certification
• Current NPI (National Provider Identifier)
